Happy New Year

Happy New Year to all.

Some one told us we would not be that busy over Christmas and new year, how wrong they were,

We had a very busy festive season and are still busy.

The Christmas bingo saw some big prize pay outs, and a healthy donation was given to the RLNI.
Thanks to every one for their support.

Work is moving on at a pace, Gus is back with paint brush in hand in a few days, hopefully within the next few weeks all the rooms will have had a makeover.

NEXT MAJOR EVENT.

To celebrate the Old New Year
A Ceilidh Dance

Featuring The
Isle of Mull Gaelic Choir
&
Anda Campbell & his Band

Saturday 12th January
8pm

Christmas Whats on & Special offers

Christmas Nights Out, see the main website for the full whats on and "Christmas Nights out" special offer

Finally we are back on the Blog, to all those who have missed our updates we apologise, having suffered two hard drive failures and the intolerable BT we think we may now have a stable IT system.

The hotel is under attack from various trades at the moment, room refurbishment has started, new windows have gone in, bravo to the guys from Everest who battled in gales to fit them.

Many thanks to all our customers / guests for the encouragement and support you have given over our first summer we hope to see you all back again soon.

What a week that was

They say Rome wasn't built in a day, in our first week and a few days we have moved new furniture in to the main bar area, removed some very old and shabby booth seating, had it completely painted out over night thanks to Gus Macnaughton and his boys to whom we owe a massive debt of gratitude for there unstinting support and huge overnight efforts with the rollers and brushes to get us clean bright and tidy. Many thanks lads.

We have hosted two hugely successful party's and entertained 60 Italian guests in two sittings. The restaurant has been full most nights and the old place is coming back to life again.

Although we have lots of photos of all that has been going on we dont seem to be able to upload them to the Blog at the moment, as soon as we can we will.

Some sleep would be nice but as the saying goes there is no rest for the wicked.

The next update will carry news about the forthcoming yacht race with details of our Sail Away menu.

Also coming in July our first music event featuring Esther O'Connor, Further details to come.

Finally after what seems like a lifetime we have finally taken over the Hotel. Officially we gained control @4.45pm yesterday.

Many Many thanks to all the people in Essex, Oban & on Mull that have helped with so many things be they large or small, we have been overwhelmed by the kindness and generosity that has been shown to us, without your help we could not have achieved our gaol.

Karl, Chris, Lesley and Ash' extend a warm welcome to friends old and new and look forward to seeing you all soon.
